PRESIDENT

Dr. Nahdiya Ali is a Hospitalist in St. Cloud, Minnesota. She completed medical school at Alfaisal University and her Internal Medicine residency at Hennepin Healthcare. She is passionate about leadership, mentorship, and community engagement.

VISE PRESIDENT

Dr. Maryam Hassan is a pediatric resident at Children’s Hospital in Ohio. She is dedicated to child health advocacy and supporting families in underserved communities. Her passion for mentorship and medical education fuels her efforts to uplift students, especially those historically underrepresented in medicine.

MEDIA DIRECTOR

Dr. Hamdi Farah is a psychiatry resident in her final year of training at Hennepin Healthcare. A graduate of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, she has a deep interest in health literacy, and promoting mental health awareness within the Somali community.

TREASURER

Dr. Musse Hussein is a fourth-year ophthalmology resident at the University of Minnesota. He completed his medical education at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Dr. Hussein is passionate about education, mentorship, and building accessible opportunities for aspiring physicians.

SECETARY

Dr. Abdirahman Wardhere is a cardiology fellow at the University of Texas. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Stamford Hospital/Columbia University. He is committed to mentorship, professional development, and uplifting the Somali medical community.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Dr. Abdilahi Mohamoud is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician and current Cardiology Fellow at Hennepin Healthcare and Minneapolis Heart Institute at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minnesota. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Hennepin Healthcare, where he cultivated a strong foundation in cardiovascular care, research, and leadership.
